During Math Workshop, students engage in lessons and activities that support the progression of mathematical understanding moving from the concrete, to the representational, to the abstract. Students take part in varied instructional practices such as number talks, whole group instruction, small group instruction, partner activities, and independent practice to deepen their mathematical understanding.

Balanced Literacy Instruction |
Our ELA instruction consists of Reading Workshop, Writing Workshop, Read Aloud, Vocabulary instruction, and Word Work. This balanced approach to literacy instruction uses the gradual release structure in which skills and concepts are first modeled by the teacher, students are then given an opportunity for guided practice with teacher support, and then students independently practice the skill/concept.
